Breakaway Activity Holidays is based near the southern borders of Snowdonia National Park.
The beauty and seclusion of this area make it a perfect location to enjoy many of the activities and events which we have to offer in our programme of weekend breaks.

All activities are aimed at the "beginner" with the emphasis on enjoyment and fun, and the friendly atmosphere helps to ensure everyone feels at ease.

'Breakaway' was started in 1988 by Barry Smith and Sonya Wallace, and weekend breaks are run from Lluest Fach, our 16th century Welsh longhouse set in its own eight acres of land.

As founders of the Spice Adventure Group in Birmingham in 1992, we ran many events from the venue until the sale of the group in 1998 gave us more time to concentrate on developing our unique style of activity/social weekends in Wales.

We still remain very close to Spice and the philosophy which it represents and have many good friends within the membership.


What is Spice?      

Lluest Fach cottage looks down into the Banwy valley sloping gently below, with the rugged Arran mountains in the distance. It has been extensively developed and extended and offers accommodation for groups in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a comfortable lounge, sun lounge and "studio/breakfast room", five hot showers and ample wash and toilet facilities.

Sleeping arrangements are in comfortable multi bedded rooms; being one two bedded, one three, three four, one single, and one double giving a total capacity of nineteen. We feel sure you will find something of interest in our varied programme of events and look forward to welcoming you at Breakaway Holidays.
