- A couple of newspapers; one local, one national
- At least one idea for a half hour feature writing project to work on in class. It could be a feature on a hobby or pastime, based on one or more interviews. It could be a humorous column, a health feature.........anything you like. But make sure you have done sufficient research and interviewing to make it a practical writing exercise. The alternative will be to produce something from scratch on the weekend which might be quite a challenge time-wise. It could be a feature on Spice for instance, if your fellow students are willing to be interviewed. Or a review of a book, film or TV programme seen (or read) recently. If possible, try and bring at least some brainstormed ideas to help you with content, plus any photographs.
